What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

Summary: The cabin was very quaint and was nicer then expected. The cabin had everything except the food and beverages and was well-equipped for food preparation. The view is very nice overlooking the South Saskatchewan River. Our stay was very nice and I would recommend the cabin as a great getaway destination. All in all our stay was very positive, but there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The main issue was the bugs in the cabin. Although they didn't bite, they were a pain. Maybe could have fumigated a few days beforehand. It could use a little cleaning and the BBQ was too dirty to use.

Summary: If you're looking for a perfect place to relax and get away from it all, then this place can't be beat. We stayed here over the Christmas holiday and loved it.We woke up to a picturesque view of the South Saskatchewan River snaking its way through the Badlands. We prepared meals in a well-equipped kitchen. The cabin is warm and cozy, inviting you to sit and read, relax or do a puzzle. There is no need to hurry; it is easy to ignore your electronic devices. The area is photogenic for both day and night-time photography. We took a day-trip through isolated farmland and places off the beaten track, seeing things you don't see on the main highways. The property owner, Murray, lives next door. He is one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet. If something comes up, he will take care of it right away.A few things to keep in mind:- Bring enough groceries for your stay. There aren't many nearby towns, and small towns do not have stores that are open 24/7.- If you travel in winter, have 4-wheel or all-wheel drive. The hill going into the valley to the cabin is very steep and can be very slippery. Travel is best during the day.- If you have mobility issues, you may not want to stay here. The washrooms are on the second floor (loft) and in the basement. It requires you to climb stairs.Enjoy!

Summary: We went with solitude and privacy in mind. This was a mother and daughter retreat for health and wellness. We checked out the river campground, more for fisherman but a nice walk for us. We went swimming in Burstall, Sask. about 25 minutes southeast. Cute Village with a general store that will take you back to the 50’s and 60’s. Scored some great tea blends and yummy honey. The owner, a wonderful host and representative for her community. Great

Summary: Murray and Julie (and Bo the dog) were wonderful hosts!! Very accommodating, and so kind. They were mindful of giving us our privacy even though we didn't really require it, as they live in the house next door. The lodge was very comfortable and beautiful and had everything we needed for 4 people! The views of the land, river and sky were unbelievable; like looking at a masterpiece painting. So much to explore there on the prairie land and the wildlife and native plants were abundant. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful rejuvenating getaway. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Murray and Julie, so much for everything!!

There is no better place to stay if you want to experience the Splendor of the south Saskatchewan river and the charm of the local area. I look forward to the firstt opportunity I get to go back.

Summary: Myself and my partner stayed here for three nights, the cabin was beautiful, it was very modern, spacious and had everything we needed in it. The south Saskatchewan river was only a 10 min walk away and we had it to ourselves to relax and take in the scenery. The owner (Murray) was very accommodating and friendly and left us to enjoy our weekend. Would highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing/romantic getaway. Peadar and Lynda.
